Job Description
- Oversee global accounting organisation, including controller-ship, audit, tax, and financial systems across multiple locations.
- Manage internal and external audit processes, ensuring compliance and coordination.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
- Manage all accounting operations, including AR, AP, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Cash, Payroll, and Inter company Accounting.
- Develop and enforce accounting policies and procedures.
- Provide insights for financial decision making, considering USGAAP, International GAAP, and IFRS.
- Support external reporting requirements and provide guidance for M&A activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT and FP&A, to enhance financial systems, reporting, and planning.
The Successful Applicant
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with CPA certification and a BS/MS in Accounting or Finance.
- International experience managing accounting staff in U.S., UK, China, and/or Costa Rica is desirable.
- Accounting experience across several sectors preferably with private equity ownership and prior experience driving change and process improvements.
- Strong technical expertise in US GAAP and IFRS, including revenue recognition, business combinations, stock-based compensation, and foreign currency matters.
- Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing accounting teams, setting goals, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Technology-savvy with proficiency in accounting and reporting software, experience in supporting M&A activities, and maintaining strict confidentiality.
