SR2 are super excited to be the exclusive partner to a new start up in the South West.

They are a dynamic transport business, based local to Bath. They are an ambitious, agile and fast-moving business that prides itself on building teams for the future that deliver high-value products and services for their customers. They are exclusive providers to local authorities and councils including social services, supporting children from under privileged backgrounds, also disabled children and adults get to and from school and college.

Their awesome founder is father to 5 children and is how and why the company was born and where the whole 'giving back' came to life. Fun fact - the company is made up of the first initial of all his 5 children. ?

Having launched a taxi company back in 2017, he realised that local authorities use taxis to transport children and young adults to and from schools and colleges. At this time, he was using a white labelled product to dispatch and keep track of their vehicles, but had no control over what he could do with this software. He believed in the opportunities in having his own software were endless so now they are here.

Over the last 3 years he has single handily built the business to what it is today, now operating within 5 areas of the South West and growing quickly. With annual recuring revenue of over £2million, they have bootstrapped their future growth and looking at possibly exploring investment.

The software is being used for their current operations with their driver app already on the play store. They are now working on a secret that will deliver substantial growth which no competitor in the UK is doing, or even close.

This is just the beginning....... ?

The team is now 7 people, inc 3 software engineers and I'm now looking to help support them in finding an exceptional CTO to the business, who will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of their technology strategy. A significant focus will be on improving the user experience, increasing efficiency, and driving growth.

You day to day:

Develop and implement the technology strategy that supports the business goals.
Collaborate with other senior executives to understand business requirements and ensure alignment with technology strategies.
Build and lead teams of software developers, app developers, engineers, and IT professionals to design, develop, and implement scalable and robust software solutions.
Drive innovation and continuous improvement of their platform and products.
Ensure the security and privacy of their users' data.
Manage technology budgets, timelines, and resources.
Identify emerging technologies and trends that can improve the business.
Stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices, whilst representing the business in industry conferences and events.
Your skills and expereince:

Proven experience as a Chief Technology Officer (CTO), with excellent interpersonal skills.
A good track record of designing and implementing technology strategies that support business objectives.
Familiarity with mobile app development and web development technologies would be fab!
Ideally a background in engineering - they have a Microsoft and JS stack.
A good understanding with Azure (as pref) or AWS and API integrations.
You can solve problems, are analytical, have good business acumen and solid decision making skills.
Experience in working well in a team environment and communicating effectively with technical and non-technical team members. Comfortable also working independently.
Comfortable leading and mentoring developers.
Ambition to be part of a dynamic senior management team in a successful & fast growing business.
