Are you an experienced tax professional seeking an exciting opportunity to lead the tax function of a prestigious FTSE 250 listed global manufacturing group? If so, we have the perfect role for you! We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our organisation as the Head of Tax.

Description

Reporting to the CFO and managing a small team you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the global tax function, including tax planning, compliance, and reporting activities for the group.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies that align with the organisation's business objectives and maximise tax efficiency's.
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations in all relevant jurisdictions, including timely filing of tax returns and payment of taxes.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the group's tax position.
  • Provide strategic advice and guidance to senior management on tax-related matters, including the tax implications of business decisions and transactions.
  • Manage relationships with tax authorities, external tax advisors, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Oversee the transfer pricing function and ensure compliance with transfer pricing rules and documentation requirements.
  • Lead and develop a small team of tax professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Profile

  • Professional certifications such as ACA/ACCA or CTA or similar are highly desirable.
  • Extensive experience in tax planning, compliance, and reporting, preferably within a multinational manufacturing or industrial company.
  • Strong knowledge of UK and international tax laws and regulations, including transfer pricing rules.
  • Proven track record of effectively managing tax risks and identifying tax planning opportunities.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and provide practical solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interact confidently with senior executives, tax authorities, and external advisors.

Job Offer

Up to £130,000 base plus car allowance, excellent bonus, LTIPS and benefits package.
