We are a family run business that is now looking for a Chief Financial Officer with demonstrable experience of leading high growth businesses to join us on our journey.

Prior experience of doing so within a service environment would be highly advantageous.

Job Description & Role

The Chief Financial Officer will be part of our growing organisation and will contribute to the attainment of the company's business objectives by providing strategic and financial guidance to ensure that the company's financial commitments are met.

Developing all necessary policies and procedures to ensure the sound financial management and control of the company's business. This role suits a good generalist who is both technically and strategically strong.

To lead, motivate, review, and reward a team:

- In a way which is visible, standard setting and at all times, appropriate and principled.

- Create environments for innovation to continually drive better ways of working.

The successful candidate will lead a small finance team of 10 people and will be expected to deliver quality strategic value-add to the MD and other Directors.

General tasks include:

- Direct management of 10 reports across the finance department comprised of purchasing, pricing, debt management and accounts payable and receivable.

- Providing leadership and guidance to the finance and accounting team.

- Providing recommendations to the Board of Directors.

- Assisting in the process of financial prediction and preparation of budgets.

- Tracking cash flow and analysing the company's financial weaknesses and strengths whilst proposing corrective actions.

- Anything Sustainability related!

Essential Requirements

The Successful CFO will possess relevant experience/qualifications in the below:

- Minimum 10 years' experience in finance, accounting, and related fields.

- Chartered Accountant Qualification.

- Experience in leading multiple finance teams.

- Strong analytical skills, good strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, exceptional numerical proficiency, and strong leadership skills.

- Previous experience in M&A is essential, as we will continue do more Mergers and Acquisitions, Debt Financing / re-financing and maximising EBITDA reporting.

- The ability to harmonise financial operations, develop effective financial strategies, guide efforts towards financial stability and promote revenue growth.

- Proficiency and adaptability in accounting software packages.

- Financial management experience.

- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.

- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
