To work with Supply Chain/Operations staff, internal staff and out-sourcing warehouse/logistic partners to ensure secure, safe management of relevant stock and successful, efficient and cost-effective fulfilment of all sales orders.

Description

The Director of Supply Chain will oversee the efficient running of all distribution, warehousing, stock management, and reverse logistics; with timely and cost-effective despatch of deliveries and processing of returned goods.

Oversee the customer experience from order to delivery, enquiry to resolution; and take into account the increasing use of alternative channels for ordering and delivery.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Overall management of the supply chain, overseeing internal operational processes for warehousing whilst closely monitoring service levels, costs and compliance and on-going management and control of any 3rd party logistic/warehousing providers.

Oversee the management of transport, Customer Operations, Master Planning (Inventory and Demand Planning) and Rework control and administration.

Responsible for the accuracy of the Supply Chain budget including any 3PL contract to maximise profitability and mitigate financial risk.

Profile

Degree or equivalent - preferably in logistics/supply or business-related

Operators Licence HolderLogistics/supply chain management

Strong understanding of process development and delivery

Stock management

Customer Services Managing a team

Supply Chain management experience

Previous experience as Supply Chain director at high turnover business with customer service complexity & managing 3rd party logistics

Excellent organisational and communication skills

Time management

Attention to detail

Analytical skills Numerical aptitude

Good negotiation and senior management skills
