The role of the House of Commons Commission is to give strategic leadership to the House Administration – the official service which supports the House of Commons, its Committees, Members of Parliament, and the public. The Commission provides the non-executive governance of the House by Members but it does not manage day to day operations.
Over the last year alone, the Commission’s work has included the approach to the Restoration & Renewal (R&R) of the Palace of Westminster, culture in Westminster, risk and safety and the development of a new three year House Strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to play an important role in the work of UK Parliament, at the highest level.
We are looking for experienced non-executive directors (either public or private sector) who have a track record of senior executive leadership experience within complex organisations of scale (within public, private or third sectors). You will have proven analytical and decision-making skills which have been demonstrably tested on complex and sensitive issues. You must be able to demonstrate political impartiality and sufficient capacity to execute your responsibilities fully.
Closing date for applications is Friday 3rd March 2022.
