We are looking for a Head of Business, Markets and Town Centres on behalf of a Local Authority client in London.

They need someone who can assume overall responsibility for the strategic development, management, and delivery of services in relation to business engagement, markets, and town centre management.

In this role you will have 5 direct reports and you will also indirectly manage a further 35 staff members across various teams so you will need to be an accomplished manager with previous experience in this capacity.

On a daily basis you will work with internal and external partners to ensure businesses have access to the full range of services required to help them start up, grow, relocate or to be retained in the Borough. Your fundamental objective will be to manage and oversee a proactive and strategic approach to business inward investment ensuring the Council delivers it's objectives and provides a great Borough to do business in.

We are looking for someone with extensive town centre management experience with a focus on developing new businesses and providing services that support this activity. We need someone who can set clear KPIs and targets for the team and someone who is capable of leading from the front/

Our client is offering an initial 6 month contract with a day rate of £500/day (inside IR35). They are based in South East London.
