We are looking to find an experienced and "hands on" qualified Finance Director to join the Senior Leadership team within this fast-growing Engineering SME based in Abingdon.

Manufacturing and processing performance enhancing coatings & heat shielding technology to a range of components, the organisations

clients include a range of vehicle manufacturers; motorsport teams; aviation component manufacturers, engine & machinery manufacturers and aftermarket customers world-wide.

An exciting opportunity the Finance Director will deliver an end-to-end finance function whilst supporting the CEO to drive business strategy.

Reporting to the CEO, and supporting the wider business, the Finance Director responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following :

* Partnering with the CEO & Senior leadership team to drive the business to achieve its long-term commercial objectives

* Lead and coach the Financial Controller in their day-to-day operation of their core activities

* Preparation and presentation of management and statutory financial statements

* Ensuring consistency and accuracy of data across the reporting process

* Partnering with budget holders to review management accounts with prior year and forecast comparatives

* Providing insightful performance analysis to help the business achieve its commercial objectives

* Owning the audit process and implementing recommendations from internal and external audits

* Direct the implementation of an improved process for balance sheet and cash flow budgeting and management

* Define and implement plans, timing, and resource requirements in order to move toward a more efficient financial planning and analysis process

* Define and implement the forecasting processes required to improve over-all Company forecasting efficiency, effectiveness and accuracy

* Define the process/tools/systems required to increase the financial planning competencies regarding financial reporting and analysis.

* Partner in decision-making as a problem solver, striving to enable operational initiatives while maintaining financial integrity and safeguarding shareholders assets and earnings

* Leverage tools for improved financial management and oversee the standardization of processes with best practices

* Transform Finance function (people and processes) with a view to growing a highly effective team & finance function

* Responsible for ensuring that the monthly Stock take and ownership of all other finance related activities across departments is understood especially for non finance staff

THIS IS A HANDS-ON ROLE and requires an individual who has worked within a fast- growing SME.

The successful candidate MUST HAVE /BE ALL of the following:

CIMA, ACA or ACCA with post qualification experience in an end-to-end managerial position.

Hands on experience working within a fast-paced growing SME

Recent experience of preparing and presenting management accounts and statutory financial statements

Experience of preparing performance analysis to help the business achieve its commercial objectives

Experience of preparing year end statutory accounts.

Experience of monitoring and managing cash flow .

Experience of defining and implementing strategies to improve business financial performance

Experience of dealing with HMRC and VAT

Experience of managing the audit process.

Be a strategic thinker who can create value for the business and able to develop a long term perspective on organisation success.

Strong organizational skills, with ability to self-motivate and successfully work on multiple projects.

A skilled approach to building strong working relationships with business partners.

Strong MS Excel skills including V Lookup.

Ideally, a knowledge of M&A planning and implementation

The successful candidate will be rewarded with a basic of £80k-£85k plus company bonus, pension, 25 days annual leave & Healthcare
