We are delighted to be partnering with Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Trust (BHRUT) in their search for three exciting new roles including the Assistant Director of Applications. This is a fantastic chance to join an NHS Hospital Trust during a period of change, taking ownership of the Data Warehousing and Integration.

With GBP30m invested in Digital services in the last 3 years, the Trust is now looking at a new IM&T leadership team to focus on an electronic patient record system (in conjunction with Barts), to advance patient care across Northeast London. In BHRUT, this will consist of a Band 9 Director of Informatics supported by three Band 8d assistant director roles for each of applications, infrastructure and data warehouse and integration.

Role Purpose

This is a senior key role in the Informatics team and is accountable for leading, managing and developing an effective Data warehouse and integration service delivery across BHRUT. The post holder will be required to deputise for the Director of Informatics; and manage business critical service management and delivery, contractual, partnership and other meetings and forums internally and externally.

The post holder will be responsible for the identification, definition, delivery and management of Informatics Data warehouse and integration services across BHRUT. Ensure all incidents, problems, changes, service requests are managed in accordance with Trust service level agreements.

The post holder will be a Data warehouse and integration specialist in the field of EPR Service management, EPR application Configuration, training and transformation covering BAU, projects to live support. Play a key role in the identification and implementation of governance, risk and compliance in relation to data warehouse and integration and transition from projects to live support.

Role Responsibilities (to include)

  • Sustain, improve and transform current Trust data warehouse and integration landscape
  • Support ongoing data quality improvements under "Getting data better" workstream
  • Work closely with the EPR Programme team to support a successful implementation in 2025
  • Act as the primary contact for data warehouse and integration support across BHRUT, ensuring the continuous availability maintenance and smooth running of services
  • Responsible for timely production of accurate, high-quality data and translate these into management information to inform and aid effective decision making at Board of Directors, Executive Team, Clinical Groups, Team and individual level

Experience and Knowledge

  • Excellent understanding of Datamodelling, data marts, data lakes, data migration processes and technologies
  • 5+ years equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level using and implementing data warehouse and integration technologies in NHS environment
  • Good knowledge of Data Intelligence and Data Warehouse methodology (FACT and Dimensions) and concepts High level understanding of anonymising/pseudonymising highly sensitive data for analysis and reporting
  • A thorough understanding of system interfacing and HL7 messaging
  • Extensive experience of delivery of BI services to recognised and accredited principles within complex organisational/multi-organisational settings
