The Finance Director will be responsible for directing and implementing world class financial management across Reed Online and Reed Learning. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the successful candidate will provide full financial support to the Board in setting business strategy and leading the delivery of financial performance.

What you'll do
  • Manage the overall financial health of Reed Online and Reed Learning
  • Provide strategic, commercial insight to the Senior Leadership Team, working collaboratively to develop and execute strategies that drive value
  • Enable timely and accurate decision making by delivering key financial and management information
  • Lead pricing strategies to ensure we create maximum value for Reed Online and for its clients, responding to signals from external and internal sources
  • Develop and coach high performing team members that add value to the business
  • Ensure all Corporate and Statutory requirements are met, maintaining key external relationships at the highest levels (auditors, bankers, advisers)
  • Ensure that procurement processes are operated efficiently and consistently
  • Develop commercial analytics for Reed Online that enable the business to cut through and understand the commercial impact of its products and teams, their position in our market, and expose opportunities

Your skills
  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) with at least 10 years experience in senior Finance roles
  • Experienced manager,, contributing at both a strategic and operational level
  • Commercial and market focussed acumen at a senior level
  • Experience of managing change across a business
  • Creative facilitator who can encourage new ideas from others with proven team-based results
  • Strategic thinking, with an ability to focus on the detail where necessary
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
