Salary: £25,000 per annum

This is an outstanding opportunity to join the Crimson Tide plc Board as Non-Executive Director and be a key part of its growth.

Reporting to the Chairman, the role will be responsible for advising and guiding the Board to enable further significant growth both UK and Internationally.

You will be required to attend 6 - 8 Board meetings per year in London and/or Tunbridge Wells, Kent. In addition, you will attend the AGM and be a member of the Remuneration Committee and Chair the Audit Committee.

The Role

As part of the Executive board, you will
  • Assist and support the Executive Team in establishing the Group's strategic aims.
  • Ensure that the necessary Financial, IT, and Operations business infrastructure is in place in the UK and Internationally to meet and exceed Crimson Tide's objectives.
  • Ensure performance is effectively monitored and reviewed.
  • Support the Executive Team in establishing the vision, values, and standards whilst ensuring the obligations to its stakeholders, investors and the wider community are fully understood and fairly and consistently balanced at all times.
  • Provide independent judgement and advice on issues of strategy, vision, business direction, performance, resources.
  • Constructively challenge, influence and help the Board develop strategies, enhancing and enabling the business to continue to scale both in the UK and Internationally
  • Ensure the highest standards of integrity and governance arrangements conforming with best practice and statutory requirements.
  • Adhere with agreed Board procedures, monitor the performance and conduct of the Executive Team in achieving the business goals, objectives and statutory responsibilities, including the preparation of annual reports and accounts and other statutory duties.
  • Obtain assurance that financial information is accurate and that financial controls and risk management systems are robust and defensible.
  • Be a member of committees established by the Board to exercise delegated responsibility and support accountability.
  • Support Board and senior appointments as well as encourage and coach, the Chief Executive and Executive Directors.
  • Be part of the Remuneration and Audit Committees to ensure compliance, process and informed decisions are made.

The Candidate

The Non-Executive Director will be a graduate, ideally with a post graduate qualification with extensive Board experience gained in UK and International business development.

A proven track record of achieving outstanding results in fast growing Companies. Ideally this will include experience gained within public companies, preferably in a SaaS business development environment with international exposure.

The ideal candidate will have a background incorporating elements of technical and financial skills and the ability to be strategic and to bring a wealth of proven experience to the role

Specifically, you will have: -
  • Extensive Board level and senior experience, ideally gained in a fast-growing technology sector. An exposure to AiM would be helpful.
  • Experience of business development in UK and Overseas
  • Managed business growth through direct business development teams and channel partners
  • High level of credibility at Board level
  • Excellent commercial and business awareness
  • Demonstrable success throughout your career
  • Passionate about technology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly aware of the technology space and how future trends can be incorporated into Strategic direction
  • The stature, integrity and initiative to be able to work closely with the main board of Crimson Tide and to make a meaningful contribution to the overall management of strategic direction of the group;
  • High level of confidence to communicate to institutional and private investors and other stakeholders
  • Full understanding of Corporate Governance
  • Highly skilled in strategic analysis and decision making
  • Experience of strategic leadership of organisational change and culture
