Chase Taylor is recruiting for an experienced Operations Director to join a large-scale specialist manufacturer of uPVC windows and doors, who supplies to retail and commercial glazing installation businesses across the UK. Our client is looking for a leader capable of creating a 'can do culture' focused on continuous improvement and has experience within volume manufacturing preferably within the fenestration fabrication industry.

The main purpose of the role will be the management of all operations of the production facility near Thetford. The successful candidate will be tasked with overseeing the day-to-day operations whilst focusing on delivering rapid and consistent operational improvements to ensure that the business delivers on time in full, to budget, to quality standards, to the customers' expectations, and with the most effective use of the company's resources.

Other responsibilities also include:

• Generating and delivering KPI`s and budgets in full
• Full P & L responsibility
• Implementing best practices and delivering planned manufacturing margin, health and safety, and housekeeping improvements
• Overseeing all administrative departments including processing, customer service and aftercare
• Planning the use of human resources, reviewing workload and manpower to make sure targets are being met on a cost-effective basis
• Creating an environment that motivates employees,
• Nurturing key talent for succession planning within operations and ensuring continuous development of all employees.

The successful candidate will have first-hand experience of operating within a lean culture. They will also be an effective communicator with highly developed interpersonal skills, have exceptional analytical skills and be process focussed.
