Join a well known bank on a permanent basis working on the implementing and delivery of their own risk platform. You will be apart of a world class tech team, focusing on E2E design of technical solutions, supporting the financial markets team and their relationships. Engage with stakeholders and business members on a day-to-day, setting expectations about delivery roll out and ongoing requirements.

This will be a full time permanent position, bywhere the candidate is expected to be in the office 3/days per week (London).

Key Responsibilities:

• Work in an agile environment to deliver Scala components to internal users
• Approach from a systematic and disciplined architectural, design and programming mindset
• Deliver best-practice software design principles
• Facilitate requirements and development effort through self-starter approach
• Always follow bank standards especially in solution design

Key Technical Requirements:

• 8+ years development experience within investment banking domain
• 8+ years experience with Java development (concurrency, multi-threading)
• Hadoop, Spark or Scala (advantageous)
• Experience with TDD and BDD in commercial environment
• Working with CI/CD pipelines

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work and thrive in agile environment
• Strong analytic and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication skills - written and spoken
• Degree from a numerate background; science, engineering, maths or economics
