Our client – Local Government – is looking for an individual To be the lead technical specialist on £1.5bn of Pension Investments, responsible for the strategic and operational management of the Pension Fund Investments, advising and supporting the Pensions Policy Investment Committee to make optimum decisions maximising the return on the pension fund over the long term, and then implementing those decisions.



  • Responsibility for the Pension Fund’s Investment Strategy Responsibility for ensuring that an unqualified Pension Fund Statement of Accounts is successfully delivered on an annual basis, ensuring that delivery is both timely and accurate. Responsibility for Pension Fund investment management and accounting for the Enfield Local Government Pension Fund administered by the Council ensuring that decisions are based on best practice for the benefit of the scheme members. Responsibility for the data integrity of the Council’s Pension Fund systems, ensuring it correctly reflects all activity as part of a reconciliatory/compliance function Lead a flexible professional team that reacts to business priority changes and adapts to current requirements. Ensure that the team works as efficiently and as effectively as possible, supporting the council’s operating principles and representing value for money services. To be the lead officer for ensuring the Council undertakes its statutory duties as the Administering Authority of Enfield Pension Fund.  Leading on the agenda management for Pensions Policy & Investment Committee and Pensions Board, including writing and presenting reports, procuring expert advice and providing training to members, in conjunction with the Director of Finance, Committee and Board Chairs.


  • This postholder is to be a qualified accountant responsible for closing the Pension Fund accounts.
