We are looking to build upon the digital and technical capabilities of our unique Digital, Information and Technology Shared Service, to deliver technical expertise and innovation across the City of London Corporation, City of London Police and London Councils. We are keen to take advantage of the latest technology - it's how we'll future-proof our services and make them more efficient and impactful than ever, helping many more of our residents, businesses, and visitors in turn.

As part of our ongoing technology investment, we are looking to recruit a Head of Project Delivery to lead on defining and delivering an exciting portfolio of software and infrastructure projects.

This an opportunity to be the driving force behind project delivery, managing and inspiring the team to deliver effectively against project outcomes, and ensure we are promoting excellence in everything we do. You will work at the heart of our digital project capabilities, acting as a subject matter expert for project delivery, helping to define our future projects and programmes and driving efficiencies and improvements through the better use and adoption of technology.

You will need to develop strong relationships with contacts within the Digital, Information and Technology Service, as well as key external stakeholders, and be accountable for successfully managing the delivery of complex cross discipline programmes and multiple projects and work streams, including realisation of defined benefits.

Core Skills

The successful candidate should have the following:

• Significant experience in project delivery, managing technology programmes and projects and working across full project life cycle
• An ability to lead other project managers and teams through the full project life cycle, and manage project risks
• Experience of prioritising workloads across multiple projects, and ability to organise time and resources effectively; creating detailed work schedules, and prioritising the activities needed to drive the project forward
• Strong stakeholder management experience with the ability to negotiate resources and prioritise requirements with both internal IT teams and wider organisation, and communicate across a diverse audience
• Experience building and influencing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
