Use your strategic leadership and relational skills to transform the lives of the world’s most vulnerable children.
World Vision is the world’s largest international children’s charity.
Operating in almost 100 countries, we seek to bring hope to millions of children in the world’s hardest places. We believe that by working together with children, their communities, and our supporters and partners, the lives of the world’s most vulnerable children can be transformed. As a Christian organisation, we aspire to reflect God’s unconditional love in all we do.
World Vision UK is at an exciting moment of inspired ambition. Under the leadership of Mark Sheard, we have laid good foundations for a time of creative growth – in our advocacy to UK audiences on behalf of vulnerable children and growth in the revenue we generate to invest in our programmes, bringing lasting effect in children’s lives.
We grew significantly last year to £69m, a 30% increase in our income year-on-year, with a 20% increase in our funding to projects overseas improving the lives of vulnerable children.
There is an upward trajectory in income across all donor audiences and a reinvigorated sense of confidence and ambition across the organisation.
There is still more to be done in implementing our five-year Transformation Plan to: diversify further our income mix; accelerate our process of digital transformation; drive efficiency by improving systems and processes; and further embed a culture of agility and innovation.
Within this context World Vision UK is seeking to appoint a relationally engaging CEO who welcomes diverse perspectives and brings entrepreneurialism and commercial skills, and prayerful wisdom in navigating the opportunities and challenges of the season ahead. The CEO will foster a diverse, vibrant and inclusive culture.
This role calls for someone who has led a diverse team through demanding step-changes, a growth mindset, a connector of people and ideas and an appetite for innovation who will relish leading an ambitious Leadership Team and Board of Trustees in seeking to serve children around the world.
It is envisaged that a regular presence, likely to be 1-2 days a week at the World Vision UK office in Milton Keynes will be necessary with regular trips to our London offices and international travel also required.
