Job Summary

You will be required to lead and manage the People Services functions within the wider Workforce & OD function for the Trust, and to work closely in collaboration with the HR Business Partners, Resourcing Manager and Talent Acquisition Lead, holding teams to account for delivery of agreed KPIs and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Trust Executive Team, Divisional Leadership Teams and the HR/OD Senior Management Team and the wide Workforce & OD Teams to ensure their involvement and understanding of HR services information systems, policies and procedures.
  • Present highly contentious and potentially unwelcome information about major changes to large groups of staff through presentations, roadshows or consultation.
  • Draft reports for and present at Trust Boards and Committees to share highly complex, sensitive or contentious information
  • Communicate with system partners to ensure the achievement of performance targets and strategic objectives. This involves negotiation, diplomacy and undertaking presentations to convey key messages.
  • Implement mechanisms to deliver widespread stakeholder engagement, partnership working, and effective consultation as appropriate
  • Facilitate briefings and partnership working, ensuring the delivery of key national, regional and local priorities to promote the wider objectives of transformational change
  • Represent NWAFT at regional and national forums.

Experience

  • Experience of managing HR systems and services
  • Extensive experience of managing technology for business uses
  • Extensive experience of planning, managing, and delivering complex programmes of projects in a change management environment
  • Extensive experience of delivering projects within a complex environment, such as the NHS
  • Experience of outsourced contract management
  • Experience of Risk Management.
  • Experience in the building and management of relationships with customers, stakeholders, and suppliers
  • Proven experience in the ability to lead and motivate other
  • Experience of developing business cases
  • Significant staff management and leadership experience
  • Experience of partnership working with internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications/Skills

  • Programme Management qualification (eg MSP) or equivalent level of Programme Management experience
  • Project Management qualification (eg Prince2) or equivalent level of Project Management Experience
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Post-grad management qualification(or equivalent level of management experience)
  • Member of relevant professional body (eg CIPD, BCS, etc.)
