National Voices are the leading coalition of health and social care charities in England. We have more than 200 members covering a diverse range of health conditions and communities, connecting us with the experiences of millions of people. We work together to strengthen the voice of patients, people with Lived Experience, unpaid carers, their families and the voluntary organisations that work for them.
We do this by influencing policy, improving practice and acting as voice for voluntary organisations. We are well-respected, influential, and have a reputation for punching above our weight.
We are looking for a Chief Executive to lead our small and passionate team in our convening, influencing and co-production work, and to work with our engaged and diverse Board of Trustees. Someone who can engage and work with our wide range of members, who do incredibly important work for the people and communities they serve. Someone who is able to build strong relationships with decision-makers, whilst speaking truth to power. Someone who invites Lived Experience and promotes our Voices for Improvement programme. Someone with commercial skills and fundraising experience. Most importantly, someone who cares deeply about our work and who shares our values.
The principal tasks of this role are as follows:
Impact and partnerships
Leading and managing the organisation
Governance
Income generation
Membership
We are committed to diversifying our team, to broaden the insight and experiences we can draw on from within our core team. We strongly encourage people from a Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic background, or people who live with ill health or disability to apply. Our offices are fully accessible.
Please read our recruitment pack for further information about the role, responsibilities and person specification.
