Investigo's major client based in central London is seeking an experienced Director of Network, Solutions Design and Engineering to lead the combined function within networks to design and engineer network solutions in line with architectural and business requirements. The Lead and role is accountable for definition of and adherence to delivery standards - whilst working with stakeholders within architecture and leadership to maintain these standards in sustainable manner. You should have broad and deep networking industry experience and demonstrable record of delivery on time and to budget.

Provide leadership and technical expertise across network infrastructure solution technical design disciplines with demonstrable experience of developing and leading teams to deliver solutions in line with business requirements.

Lead a blended team of retained and partner-based SME engineers across all areas of network solutions design and engineering

Responsibilities/Experience

• Lead the definition of networking standards, working with architecture and other key stakeholders, to ensure definition and application of common best practice approach across network infrastructure
• Ability to manage prioritisation and take accountability for leadership and reporting across this function is key in a highly complex and demanding environment
• Working with architecture and business functions this team takes in requirements and builds out solutions to meet the business needs in line with set standards, while working to improve/modify those standards where necessary to meet delivery requirements - it is critical that the lead is able to empower this team to make smart and business focused decisions in a timely manner while also remaining aware of the detail of each delivery themselves
• Lead is responsible for ensuring process, standards, policies and overall approach caters for end-to-end delivery into production support
• Along with maintaining detailed awareness of critical deliveries in flight and ensuring support to underpin timely solution delivery, the management of stakeholders across technology and the wider business is key to the success of this role
• Lead will have demonstrable experience and depth of understanding within Network, Security and Infrastructure technology domains (to include Cloud technologies) within Financial Services
• Leads the delivery of technical capability to standards, on time, and within budget. Working with other Network Services functions and across the wider business, ensures compliance to all technical/data protection policies
• Develops training and development plans for teams and individuals across function to increase knowledge, skill and capability of the function and ensures appropriate resourcing capacity (volume, skills, capability, etc)
