Job Details
The Manufacturing Manager has responsibility for managing a large production team ensuring production plans are met, implementing new processes and procedures to increase the pace and efficiency of the work force to satisfy customer demands, meeting quality and production delivery targets whilst maintaining health and safety standards and adhering to regulations.

Description
The key responsibilities are:
- Implementing all quality systems and ensuring production teams work to these.
- Defining KPIs and setting and achieving goals for quality, cost and on time delivery performance improvement.
- Reporting on production performance improvement results and metrics including OTD, Quality PPM, cost reduction targets and efficiency measures.
- S(I)OP planning working closely with the Sales, Planning and Purchasing functions, as well as resourcing effectively.
- Leading and building the production management team including training, coaching, recruitment and skills development.
- Establishing and maintaining Lean and Six-Sigma principles and a continuous improvement culture.
- Identifying manufacturing quality or specification issues quickly.
Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
- Background within production / operations / manufacturing management.
- Worked within an industrial environment: preferably automotive / electrical.
- Background within Lean / Six-Sigma: ideally a formal qualification / belt.
- Knowledge and background of using value stream and functional process mapping, SMED, Gemba, Kaizen, 5S methods, poke yoke, DMAIC and other Lean / Quality improvement tools.
- Strong Change Management skills and comfortable liaising across business functions at different levels
- Background in modern ERP/MRP systems and knowledge of production/inventory planning and control systems.
