Job Details

This role has been created to work between the Data Science (DS) developers, Brand Planning Managers, Commercial and Central Finance. The role will play a pivotal part integrating the Data Science tools into the group, providing 360 feedback, ensuring the inputs and outputs are projecting the most accurate forecast by brand.

Description

The successful Finance Data Manager will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Helping shape / developer a multi-layer Retail Forecast for the business.
  • Further develop an All-Brands Sessions based forecast, then engineer into the Data Science Model
  • Working alongside the Data Science team to ensure the inputs & outputs are in line with the forecasting requirements
  • Create a feed into the Analytics team to build in the above to their suite of reports. This will enable the trading teams to see what their levers are doing to their multiple KPIs
  • High level of Cross functional working, building strong relationships with Trading, Media, Data Science, Fin. Services, IT, and the wider Finance team

Profile

The successful Finance Data Manager will be able to demonstrate:

  • SQL & Product structure knowledge
  • Strong Excel & Power BI
  • Understanding of how Marketing, Finance and Buying & Merchandising work together to achieve Brand objectives
  • Build & maintain multi-function relationships - dealing with multiple inputs from various functions whilst maintaining a high level of 'ownership', showing you are a subject matter expert
  • Ability to interrogation of large data sets, with a very keen eye for accuracy
