Head of Projects - Critical Data Centres Uk and EMEA (Facility/building Services)
£130,000 + 20% bonus, Vehicle
Responsibilities/Duties:
General Duties
Establish, develop, and lead, a new EMEA cluster team that will deliver a scalable delivery project management approach for In-Life projects
Control and manage In-Life projects across an EMEA cluster
Identify and manage risks associated with project delivery
Implement project management-based approach to In-Life projects
Manage key stakeholders expectations
Create business cases demonstrating clear objectives and costs and possible revenue for each In-Life project
Act as a resource to the Technical Operations team to manage projects successfully on their behalf from conception to completion
Accurate reporting of projects status to Operations Management team
Involvement in cross departmental projects as a lead or participant
Help develop operational project procedures and working with other teams ensure a standard approach to project management is followed
Ensure that all areas of each project health and safety requirements are effectively managed
Managing 5 PM's in the UK and 5 in Germany
Travel to EMEA 8 times a month
Running €35-40 million worth of project upgrades
Key Performance Indicators
Work with the Tech-Ops teams to define and implement a set of project and asset management key performance indicators (KPI) that are measurable and demonstrates how effectively the In-life Project Delivery and Regional EMEA Tech-Ops teams are performing against their objectives
Reporting
Provides regular Project Delivery performance updates
Provide regular reporting on performance against project delivery and asset management KPIs and schedule regular face to face meetings with the regional team to address any KPI related issues and concerns. After these meetings, they will provide a regular update to the Head of Infrastructure & Life Cycle Management.
Provide support and guidance on how to rectify and improve any reported non-conformance or performance issue identified
Requirements
Experience of working within a large multinational company with significant regional operations
Must come from a technical, engineering background, electrical, mechanical or air conditioning with formal qualifications.
Proven track record of delivering large complex projects in live operational areas
Proven track record in the establishment, development and leading multi-region project management teams
Demonstrable experience of fundamental project management principles
Ability to teach and guide team members through changing environments
Ability to prepare, present and summarise information to all audience types
Willing and able to travel
Experience of working in a European multi-cultural environment
Working Knowledge of Plan Do Check Act (Deming cycle) highly desirable
Recognised European Health and Safety Qualification highly desirable
Proficient in English language both written and verbal
