IT Director, Insurtech / Insurance Technology, City of London (E1), £(Apply online only)k basic + exceptional package

Our client connects executives, entrepreneurs and investors looking to build the future of insurance. They deliver large-scale conferences across the world and are currently expanding into digital media as part of our long-term strategy to offer new services for the insurance and related industry.
The client is part of a larger global media group with an excellent reputation in financial services, HR, private equity, retail, commercial property and insurance sectors.
As IT Director you'll be set a unique growth target to build-out a full IT department to meet the rapidly growth and expanding needs of the business. It is vital that the IT Director has a commercial understanding to be able to understand the business elements of the role and to be able to play a pivotal role in enabling the business to meet its' strategic goals.
The IT Director will manage the entire IT, digital and technology environment for the business, as well as being party to impact-impact decision making and working with the CEO and Board of Directors.
The business operates a very positive working environment, and the workplace is digitally-enabled and hybrid, meaning that the IT Director will need to be in the office perhaps 1 or 2 days per week, with the rest of the time working from home, similar to the 300 or so other staff within the business as a whole.
As IT Director, you'll set, and lead the technical vision, road-map and architecture for the organisation, growing and cultivating the technical team. You'll be the technical representative on the board, managing expectations of key stakeholders. You'll play a major part in helping this organisation scale-up.
