Role: CTO
Location: Birmingham / Hybrid
Salary: £110,000 - £130,000 + Generous Company Share Scheme
We are looking to recruit a highly ambitious and innovative CTO to provide technology vision, and leadership and maximise the strategic effectiveness of Information technology in an award-winning business based in Birmingham City Centre. This newly created role offers the very rare opportunity of joining one of the fastest-growing tech/finance companies in the midlands region and you will be a huge driver of their continued growth.
To be considered for this role you will need to have at least two years of experience in a CTO role within a Financial Services, FinTech, Banking, or Investment business coupled with a passion for driving growth through innovative strategic thinking.
This successful company left behind the pitfalls of a start-up years ago, so your risk/reward factor is weighted heavily in favour of a highly successful and lucrative exit in three to five years' time.
The role will be hybrid with a mix of office and remote working so you will need to be based within a reasonable commute of Birmingham.
The Role:
The focus of this role is strategic planning and delivery.
There is an excellent technical team in place so we are looking for someone that has left their hands on days well behind them and focuses on designing and delivering a highly effective strategy and roadmap.
You will take full ownership in defining and executing the mid-and long-term Technology Roadmap to ensure that all systems now and, in the future, will provide seamless scalability and security to support the business's impressive growth. This is a vital role, sitting on the Exec board, and will provide the opportunity and real autonomy to shape and lead the future technology strategy.
What we are looking for:
Proven minimum 2 years' experience as CTO or similar senior IT leadership role within a Financial Services, FinTech, Investment, or Banking environment.
A strong strategic and business mindset.
Ability to drive transformational change.
Track record in recruiting and growing software development teams
Knowledge of DevOps and Agile Development.
Excellent organisational and leadership skills
Driven, ambitious and entrepreneurial in your approach.Benefits:
