Client Details

A leading global supplier of high-quality specialist materials used for research, development and specialist production within science and industry to customers across the globe. Customers use the products to create instruments that cure cancer, send satellites into space, help profoundly deaf babies hear, and many other exciting and innovative applications. The business headquartered in the UK with subsidiaries in the USA, France, Germany and China have recently become PE backed and are embarking on an ambitious growth strategy with organic growth and acquisitions a key part of the plan in order to build a business of scale.

To support this expansion my client is looking to recruit an experienced Chief Marketing Officer, with a focus on strategic planning, customer development, e-commerce, marketing, branding and partnerships.

You will focus on driving development and organic revenue growth across the business and be instrumental in the integration of newly acquired business into the Group. Together with other members of the executive team, you will execute the current corporate strategic plan, focusing on expansion to new customer segments and partnerships, while strengthening sales operations.

Description

  • Develop, implement, and manage the revenue generation strategy and digital marketing roadmap to drive growth through all channels with a particular focus on e-commerce.
  • Define, measure, and report the performance of all paid marketing channels and wider campaigns. Assess against agreed ROI and KPI goals including customer acquisition and retention.
  • Assess and develop the Brand for each Group company, positioning the business as a high quality, high service market leader.
  • Develop a customer segmentation strategy from the ground up, using attribution modelling to ensure we reach the right audience to ultimately improving conversion.
  • Monitor, prepare and report on marketing communications and sales activity keeping data and analytics at the core of every decision. Lead marketing analytics and ROI analysis for campaigns and channels.
  • Develop, motivate and manage the current team of 6 to address acquisition, retention, analytics, content, CRM and cross departmental support. Assess the need for expansion in line with business needs.
  • Partner with and leverage the product team & technical teams to create best in class content and product launches.
  • Report to the Board and actively participate in the wider success of the Group as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Undertake frequent national and international travel where appropriate to attend meetings with prospective new customers together with site visits, exhibitions, and events.

Profile

  • 10+ years in diversified leadership roles, driving and implementing revenue growth.
  • Proven track record of growing revenue through e-commerce, marketing, branding, and partnership.
  • Ability to develop, manage and implement strategy and plans globally.
  • Significant experience of managing digital and ecommerce teams.
  • Ability to craft and execute a business strategy.
  • History of decision-making based on analytics and business metrics.
  • Significant general management and P&L experience.
  • Inspirational leadership style and hands-on approach.
  • Knowledge and application of a wide range of marketing and sales techniques and concepts.
  • Enthusiastic and creative.
  • Strategic planning skills.
  • Strong organisational skills.

Job Offer
