Description

• Develop, define and deliver a business plan to develop both existing and new business opportunities in line with the overall Company's strategy within the sub-sector.
• To provide new and existing customers flexible and innovative solutions based on sound commercials and operational services to build effective long-lasting relationships so both us and our customers can be successful and profitable.

* Identifying key routes to market and new opportunities within the UK.

* Track emerging trends in the UK market, recommend new services, as well as develop strategic partnerships.

* Work closely with the leadership team to drive and implement corporate strategy.

* Build, develop and manage a UK commercial function.

* Shape the strategy for the UK market and how it will develop over the years.

Profile

The successful Business Development Director should have the following experience/skillset:

* Experience within the logistics sector, ideally across technical sectors such as manufacturing, specialist products, utilities or chemicals

* Experience managing a high-performing sales function.

* The ability to lead from the front regarding Business Development and initially operate in a standalone position.

* A positive and entrepreneurial attitude is a must.

* The candidate must be a strong leader and have demonstrated team-building and problem-solving skills.
