Michael Page Logistics is looking to recruit a Health & Safety Manager for our client in the Heathrow area.

Our client are a leading 3PL. This role will support an airside operation at Heathrow on a high profile contract.

Description

In the role of Health and Safety manager you will be responsible for the following:

• Take responsibility for the full scope of SHE activities at the site
• Be point of contact for enforcement authorities.
• Ensure adequate Safety, Health and Environmental guidance is provided
• Control the input and retrieval of information to and from the companies H&S Safety software management system.
• Analyse and develop action plans based on accident / Incident & Claims information
• Undertake relevant Safety, Health and Environment audits and create relevant action plans
• Deliver and provide support in the development of Safety, Health and Environmental training requirements.
• Coordinate the Safety, Health and Environmental monitoring programme to ensure legal and organisational compliance.
• Support in the design, implementation and management of all company safety promotions.
• Contribute in the selection and development of relevant Safety, Health, Environmental trainers.
• Drive the management team in the completion of their H&S responsibilities.
• Network to ensure the sharing and obtainment of best practice within the business.
• Ensuring accident investigations are completed and actions are implemented to prevent reoccurrence.
• Stay conversant as to relevant H&S skill and qualification levels required for effective performance.

Profile

The successful candidate will be the SME for all thing relating to H&S on site. While management experience is not essential candidates must have operated in a similar role previously. You will be famikiar with warehouse, trabnsport or airside operations. Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to create H&S improvement plans and work to targets.
