Job Details

My client, a large London-based Plc Group, is seeking to hire an Executive Compensation Manager.

This role will be structured as a fixed-term contract, with our client seeking candidates who could be available within a relatively short time-frame as this is now an urgent requirement

Working within the Group Reward and Performance team, this role will support the delivery of executive remuneration for the group, ensuring that all necessary inputs from external remuneration advisors and market data are fully considered. This role will work closely with the communications, finance and legal teams so as to ensure that incentive compensation arrangements are structured and communicated in accordance with all legal obligations. Additionally, it may be the case that the post-holder of this role may, on occasion, be required to deputise for the Group Reward Director. As such candidates should have excellent communication skills and should have experience of working with senior stakeholders and Remuneration Committee members.

This role will require the Executive Compensation Manager to:

  • Provide insight, guidance and support to central functions in relation to bandings/grading and compensation issues for senior level hires
  • Play a leading role in producing the Directors’ Remuneration Report. This will require liaison with various areas of the business as to agree on sign-off, timing, data etc.
  • Be the lead contact point for evaluating policy issues/grading and reward reporting across the organisation
  • Work alongside the finance stakeholders so as to ensure that all incentives are accrued for properly and advise on any significant changes
  • Ensure that all grants made as part of executive share schemes are actioned in a timely and compliant way, ensuring necessary communication to senior management stakeholders is made in a clear and timely manner
  • Collaborate with other Performance & Benefits team members to ensure that performance and reward are linked in a meaningful way, that is to say the design and structure of annual bonuses.

Candidates applying for this role must be able to demonstrate a track-record of relevant experience within the Reward & Benefits field; experience of having worked within a multinational PLC organisation is highly desirable. In addition to excellent presentation, communications and analytical skills, candidates should have meticulous attention to detail, with an in-depth understanding of current reward/benefits practices in the market and any relevant emerging trends. Applicants should be highly motivated to make an outstanding contribution to the organisation and manage a team to drive high performance.

Competitive salary, bonus and other benefits will be offered. Hybrid working will be available.

Company

Communicate stands for excellence, entrepreneurialism and delivery.

Our aim is simple: to source and place the best candidates within timeframes which surpass those of other recruitment businesses. With 32% of placements made this year being at FTSE 100 companies, we feel we are living up to our aspirations.

Specialising in the placement of permanent and interim candidates for many of the world’s best companies, Communicate has earned an excellent reputation for providing fast and effective recruitment on a retained or contingent basis, without ever compromising quality. Indeed, despite the market average for finding new opportunities through word-of-mouth being just 18%*, this year, 67% of the placements made so far have been agency network, referred or headhunted candidates.

In addition, we are thought leaders, regularly appearing in national, regional and trade publications.

We are also market leaders. Our pioneering product – the Communicate Contingent Retainer – guarantees we fill vacancies within six weeks or refund all payments, in full, immediately. This means positions are filled with exceptional candidates at four times the speed of the industry standard and clients are not exposed to the 20% risk of paying for a service they do not receive, as is typical with most of our competitors’ retained assignments.

*Survey data collected from conversations with our leading clients in 2012 on sourcing candidates.
