Change Manager

GBP60,000 - GBP65,000 + bonus + perm benefits

Remote - once a month travel to office in London

A UK leading organisation is currently recruiting for a Change Manager to join their service practitioner team to be fully responsible for assessing and monitoring change implementations. The successful hire will be involved in ensuring changes are properly impact-assessed and authorised alongside planning the development and implementation of new techniques and or methods.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

*Ensures that changes are properly impact-assessed and authorised. Chairs meetings that review and progress the control of changes, such as change advisory boards (CABs).
*Evaluates risks to the integrity of service environment inherent in proposed changes and change implementations (including availability, performance, security and compliance of the business services impacted).
*Develops implementation plans for complex requests for change, in terms of the overall assessment, approval and schedule for implementation, rather than the technical implementation.
*Assists in the development and implementation of changes, in terms of ensuring their progress through the change management process (rather than the technical development and implementation).
*Provides documentation including management information and statistics on the progress of changes for stakeholders, including performance against service level agreements.
*Promotes awareness of the importance of a structured change management process, working with other service management functions to ensure effective operation of the change management process and the consistency of procedures.
*Reviews the effectiveness of change implementation, suggests improvement to organisational procedures governing change management. Gets involved in audits of the change management process and takes responsibility for resulting actions based on findings and recommendations.
*Contributes to the evaluation or establishment of the change management system, ensuring conformance to documentation standards. Maintains the change management system in accordance with agreed procedures.
*Co-ordinates investigations and proposals for problem resolutions and workarounds.
*Initiates and monitors the implementation of agreed remedies, in close liaison with the service desk, incident management, change management, other support teams, configuration management and asset management functions.
*Assists in the development and maintenance of problem management processes and advises on any improvements that could be implemented, using any tools that may be available.
*Determines how changes will be implemented, and feeds into change management processes.
