Job Details

The QEHS Manager will report to the Group Operations Director and ensure that the overall quality of the group deliverables is effectively specified, measured, maintained and improved; taking full responsibility for the management and development of the quality team.

The QEHS Manager holds three primary areas of responsibility and focus: Quality Management, Health and Safety management, Environmental & sustainability management.

My client is a privately owned technology company based in Lymington. They have a reputation as a world leader in their field as a designer and manufacturer of high quality sensors. These sensors are used by some of the most demanding customers in meteorology, agriculture, road and weather, motorsport, utilities, marine and defence across the globe.

Description

The key responsibilities are:

  • Managing and maintaining the group's external quality accreditation's, including ISO9001/ISO14001.
  • Manage external quality audits and ensure maintenance of appropriate external quality standards.
  • Ensure that all "risk assessments" as required by legislation are conducted and reviewed at relevant intervals and to maintain records.
  • Execute the EHS CI road-map.
  • Keep up to date with changes in current environmental legislation and to bring to the attention of the company Directors alongside the improvement proposal.
  • To carry out investigations into all environmental accidents and near-miss incidents and to record the findings for analysis and improvement.

Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Background in leading a quality team in a technology focused manufacturing environment.
  • Background of managing and enhancing an effective QMS that has delivered clear business value and supported the broader business strategy.
  • Membership of CQI would be an advantage.
  • Worked within an industrial manufacturing environment, preference of electrical or electronics.
  • Managed internal and external audits and acquiring and maintaining external accreditation's.

Job Offer

On offer:

  • Circa £55K - £60K
  • 24 days + bank holidays.
  • Pension.
