My client are looking for a reliable and passionate Logistics Manager to be responsible for the overall supply chain management. The goal is to manage the entire order cycle so as to enhance business development and ensure sustainability and customer satisfaction. My client are looking for a reliable and passionate Logistics Manager to be responsible for the overall supply chain management. The goal is to manage the entire order cycle so as to enhance business development and ensure sustainability and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will build a process that balances efficiency, cost-effectiveness and customer centricity.

Description

Key responsibilities for the Logistics Manager include;

  • Strategically plan and manage logistics, transportation from suppliers (brands, retailers) and to customers in the UK, Europe, USA and beyond
  • Work very closely with our warehouse manager on delivery into the warehouse and shipment to customers
  • Liaise with customer experience manager on customer service ticket resolution, especially pertaining to shipment issues
  • Ensure appropriate forms and documentation for all inbound logistics and shipments out of the warehouse. Focus on ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Optimise processes for duties and taxes for inbound and outbound packages; evolve and continuously iterate on process improvements
  • Support exploration, evaluation and selection of international 3PLs, incl. EU hub and USA hub
  • Source/procure new couriers and work towards targets to improve rates with existing couriers/partners
  • Follow up with, and ensure timely shipments into the warehouse with external vendors. Implement creative and effective solutions to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery

Profile

  • Proven working experience as a Logistics Manager
  • A logistics distribution and supply chain background
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple departments and stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
  • Experience managing inbound and outbound logistics into and out of the UK
  • Experience working in E-Commerce is a plus
  • BS in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain is advantageous
  • Lives within a commutable distance of Sheffield
