Description

This is an opportunity for an experienced transport solutions designer to join one of the leading 3rd Party logistics providers.

As a solutions designer you will have responsibility for

• Responding to RFQ/ RFP's and tenders for new transport customers
• Optimise and develop the services for the existing customer portfolio
• modelling transport for shared networks and dedicated fleet solutions
• Costing customer requirements
• recommend not development including technology
• Supporting the business units with transport related problems
• Support and guide Transport analysts, planners and engineers

Profile

As a transport solutions designer you will have gained experience working in a transport environment in operations, solutions design, planning or transport network modelling.

Preferred skills and experience include:

• CPC
• Experience of strategic modelling tools including; Paragon, CAST, DIPS or similar
• Highly literate in using Excel, Access or similar data analysis software (v/h look-ups, macros etc)
• exposure to cost modelling of transport solutions
• Operational transport experience is beneficial
• Be open to national travel to meet customers / visit sites
