Business Development Director | 12 Months | Day rate - dependent upon experience

Harvey Nash's client are currently looking to recruit a Business Development Director to join their team for a 12 month period. The client is based in Warwickshire however, the role will be entirely remote.

Working as part of a leadership team you will have the key responsibility to drive the sales growth across the business to ensure its future success. This role is critical and will require the dedication to apply an effective sales strategy, driving sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with new clients. Therefore, the individual should be a strong communicator, ambitious and able to expand on our existing customer portfolio, forge strong relationships with prospects and close successful opportunities with large scale clients. An exciting opportunity for someone with the right experience and focus.

Main Duties:

  • Develop a growth strategy focused on financial gain and client satisfaction
  • Build and maintain a continuous pipeline of sales activities across key markets
  • Develop and implement a clear strategy to meet sales targets
  • Complete sales research to identify new sales leads and create databases
  • End to end responsibility for the sales process and onboarding of new clients
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet business objectives and sets priorities
  • Generate sales opportunities through online networking activities and databases
  • Seek our partnerships that help grow the brand and business
  • Review lead qualifying status and research company opportunities and credentials
  • Lead, motivate and empower all levels of staff within the Business Development team
  • Direct line management responsibility of key personnel from the marketing team

Essential Skills:

  • Have a proven track record of sales success within the Learning & Development industry, Learning Management Systems specifically is a real advantage
  • Have a proven track record in strategic leadership within Sales & Marketing
  • IT systems experience and selling complex multi-million-pound projects
  • Management, development, and realisation of a pipeline of strategic opportunities across short and long-term timeframes
  • An outstanding commercially focused sales leader, with strong marketing and sales experience within large private sector organisations - ideally with experience of the Technology industry
  • Track record in successful scale campaign management, with a track record of delivering profitable growth
  • Highly commercial customer focused; future-thinking; delivery-focused; strength of conviction
  • High levels of energy and enthusiasm with proven leadership skills and an ability to motivate others and successfully close opportunities
