Commercial Finance Director - Real Estate / Property

£125,000 - £140,000 pa + bonus and package

Finance Director position at a market leading, global Real Estate business. A fully-integrated investor, developer and operator of BTR (build to rent), residential and student housing, the company currently manages €14bn+ of assets across nine European territories, with further expansion planned over the next 12-24 months.

You will join a highly entrepreneurial business where decisions are made quickly as the business continues to grow at rapid pace. As Finance Director you will lead and implement strategic actions to drive growth across the business.

The role has oversight of the European commercial finance team (of eight), with responsibility for financial control and FP&A covering: reporting for management fees and revenue; planning and forecasting; supporting acquisitions and country/asset on-boarding; business partnering with commercial and operations teams.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversight of the Commercial Finance function across Europe - leading and developing a best in class, agile, multidisciplinary team
• Lead the annual business plan process and deliverables across European businesses, as well as presentation of the plan to senior leadership and Executive committee
• Coordination with the Head Office Finance team in the US to ensure alignment with acquisitions or investments
• Management of due diligence, underwriting and completion accounting for balance sheet acquisitions
• Management of the team as well as third party relationships with external providers

Key requirements:

• Qualified accountant with significant post qualified experience (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Experience of working in a finance leadership role within the Investment Management or Real Estate Sector
• Working knowledge of IFRS, and experience of transaction due diligence, valuation and integration
• Previous experience with property management and financial accounting software, Yardi experience is beneficial
• Previous management and strategic leadership experience with demonstrable success
