Head of Infrastructure Project Delivery is required by buoyant City based Insurance organisation who are undergoing major growth currently. This senior lead delivery role forms part of a distributed, global IT team that is responsible for the continued availability and support of an international on-premise and cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accountable for capital investment, programme delivery and resource management.
• On-boarding of new technology aligning with organisational and technology strategies.
• Although London based, the role will be expected to work in a fast-pace environment as a globally expanding business, with regular interaction across international time zones. The organisation span 40 countries with over 10,000 employees.
• Managing delivery of two capital investment portfolios; Information Security and Infrastructure, ensuring successful delivery of both to time and budget.

Key Requirements:

• Demonstration of extensive experience working as an IT delivery lead with the capability to operate across multiple areas, including IT infrastructure and IT security.

• Ability to run complex and commercially significant programmes maintaining quality and control, delivering on time and within budget.
• Experience of managing and controlling large budgets, often in excess of £10m.
• Be highly collaborative with the wider delivery team, management structure and business leaders.
• Demonstrate excellent stakeholder management experience being able to routinely communicate at a senior level.
• Effective prioritisation across the delivery programmes to ensure that resource is utilised on the highest priority projects.

• Ability to mentor, lead and provide IT delivery governance guidance to project resources.
• Negotiate with suppliers to provide best balance of quality, service and price.
• Be an excellent communicator both verbal and written.

Desirable:

• Technical IT knowledge, previous experience of delivering projects involving the following, is advantageous for the role:- Microsoft cloud based technologies (e.g. O365, Azure).- Infrastructure and system deployments, upgrades or migrations- Security programmes that have delivered within ISO27001 certified businesses.
• Prince2 practitioner and or, MSP qualification.
• A Bachelor of Science Degree.
• Ability to work within the varied International Compliance and Regulatory requirements.
• Experience working within a hybrid On-premise and Off-premise Cloud Computing environment.
