Enjoy East Lothian Ltd (enjoyleisure)
Non- Executive Director Vacancy

enjoyleisure has a proven track record in offering the opportunity to participate in your chosen sporting and leisure activity within first class leisure facilities, whether this is just for fun, achieving sporting excellence or anything in-between.

The Enjoy Board and Management are passionate and driven by our commitment in ensuring that we continue to be the best in our field by placing Enjoy facilities and services at the heart of health and wellbeing in East Lothian. We are a charitable not-for-profit company with any profits being reinvested in the business for the benefit of the communities, which we serve. The Charity has a turnover in excess of six million pounds with a staffing resource of 300 + throughout the year.

We manage 6 major sport and leisure facilities throughout East Lothian with 5 having swimming pools. The management portfolio also includes two golf courses, athletics track, a significant number of pitches (both grass and synthetic) and
associated pavilions, cafes, bowling green and various seasonal facilities.

enjoyleisure are now seeking to appoint a number of new non-executive Directors to our Board. The Board is appointed to ensure proper governance and provide support for the work carried out by the Executive Management Team managed by the Chief Executive. Enjoy is a charitable trust and company limited by guarantee working with key partners, which includes East Lothian Council, NHS Lothian and various sporting organisations to manage and support local sport, leisure, health initiatives, activities, facilities and events. These positions are on a voluntary, unpaid basis, although reasonable and approved expenses can be reimbursed.

To ensure proper governance, the Board meets no fewer than five times per annum, additionally, there is a requirement to participate in some sub-committee business activity throughout the year.

Our vision is to encourage everyone to be more active, healthy, and motivated.
