I have an immediate need for a Head of Business Systems for my Greater Manchester based client.

As the Head of Business Systems, you will be responsible for both back and Front Office systems, ensuring close partnership with the IT Leadership team, in particular the Head of IT Business Solutions in the control and improvement the IT Business Systems, their application, enhancement and successful utilisation within the business.

You will ensure that all services are managed within their Budget and attuned to the wider IT Strategy as directed by the IT Director. This role will offer you variety from day one with the ongoing planning, designing, implementation, operating, maintaining and improvement of the companies Business Systems. You will be a natural people leader that enjoys providing encouragement and support to team managers and wider IT team members, whilst helping to build and maintain relationships of key stakeholders across the business.

You must be from a heavily weighted financial background/worked on financial systems.

You must have ERP systems experience.

You ideally will have experience with D365.

What you will be doing

* Technical ownership of the company applications including: Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, Dynamics CRM, Syrinx Plant System, Success Factors, Donseed Aurora and Intelligo Megapay.

* Leading the management and development of the Murphy Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations solution and the associated services, providing the primary engagement with senior stakeholders.

* Managing all aspects of Business Systems, performance, supply and demand management and service life cycle checks controls and balances

* Managing an off-shore third party Dynamics 365 support team, maximising the business benefits.

* Develop the Framework including all reporting of KPI's and trends to IT department and others as required ie weekly, monthly, ad-hoc, which will form part of the Head of IT Services reporting pack to the business

* Develop strategies for effecting business change and transformation to existing and new business services, supporting both the IT Strategy and the wider Murphy Growth strategy

* With the Line of Business Applications support team Manager agree process for Operational Acceptance of new services and incremental change alike and fold into the Application Support Framework

* Manage all partner and 3rd party vendor relationships relating to Business systems, including Microsoft, Annata, SAP, Edenhouse, Oracle, Autodesk, Bentley, Causeway and act as a secondary point of relationship management to the IT Director.. Develop & review surveys attuned to Business Applications, their use and success. Keeping confidential all applicant, client, and verification and company proprietary information.

* Define and own the Knowledge Management of Business Systems and fold into the wider Service Management Knowledge Management function

* Own and Develop the Service Catalogue entries pertaining to Business Systems, detailing systems, tools and services alike within the Business Systems estate with support from the Head of IT Services

* Undertake regular reviews of licensing (entitlement vs. usage) and highlight any findings to support procurement and auditing. Establishes a culture of continuous service improvement within the IT Business Systems team, challenging the status quo, in a positive and effective manner. Who we are looking for

* Demonstrable experience leading ERP, Payroll & HR systems management in a project centric business.

* Confident in management of IT business systems and delivering business value in a large enterprise.

* Good working knowledge of Microsoft business applications and their implementation within the business including Dynamics 365 F&O and & Office 365. Experience of effectively managing third party off-shore service providers.

* Good communication and engagement skills, with extensive experience of managing senior stakeholders.

Desirable:

* Experience of transforming ERP, People Systems and other construction oriented Applications and services

* Experience in managing SAP Successfactors

The salary is upto GBP85k with superb benefits.
