Reed Leadership Finance have been engaged by a privately owned Multi-Site retailer who are seeking to add an experienced Head of Finance/Finance Director to their team on a permanent basis.

Working alongside an experienced Chief Executive Officer, you shall lead a team of 3 and support in the growth of the business. They are currently achieving revenues of Circa £25m, across Retail and Ecommerce. And have seen significant growth in their ecommerce model from a standing start pre the first lock down.

As Head of Finance/Finance Director you shall be responsible for:
  • Managing a finance team, and ensuring the day-to-day running of the finance team
  • Ensuring 1st class processes and procedures are in place
  • Overseeing the monthly management accounts for group and working with management around budgets & forecasts to ensure on target performance (Working with Retail Store budget holders, surrounding business objectives against financial strategy)
  • Taking a lead role in pricing, reviewing sales margins, identifying risks and opportunities
  • Ensuring robust working capital management
  • Managing all statutory obligations including, tax, vat, statutory accounts filing, and annual audit etc.
  • Ensuring accurate stock management and integrity of ERP systems
  • Presenting results to Senior Leadership Team/Board, and updating them on any risks/opportunities
  • Taking a key role in the ecommerce strategy, helping to build a business plan to increase revenue across this channel to market.

To be considered for this role you shall be:
  • An ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified Accountant
  • Strong academic background ideally
  • Strong track record in a Retail/Ecommerce environment
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
  • Experience of helping to drive growth and profitability
  • Strong team management experience, and able to demonstrate mentoring and developing staff
