Job Details
A FTSE 250 transport company with a global reach is seeking a Finance Manager to join their UK finance team. This role will be central in the financial health of the wider business, supporting the company’s rapid growth within its European division. Working closely with both senior management and the external accounting teams. Based in London, but working on a hybrid flexible basis this business has a fantastic track record of developing team members and providing future internal opportunities for career growth. The ideal candidate will be confident and proactive, in addition to presenting strong analytical skills.
Key responsibilities:
- Day to day management of the finance team’s productivity
- Oversee the production of financial reports to ensure accuracy of company accounts
- Build cross departmental relationships within the company
- Advising senior managers on profit maximisation strategies
- Assisting the FP&A Manager in the creation of quarterly forecasts
- Oversee the consolidation of company accounts
Key requirements:
- A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with relevant technological knowledge (Excel, Power BI or similar systems)
- Relevant sector experience to transport space
- A hardworking and proactive individual with great people skills to facilitate with the management of the finance team
- Flexibility and adaptability, due to the ever changing nature of the fast growing company dynamic
- Strong technical background with well-established analytical skills
- Management experience is beneficial but not imperative
