Excellent opportunity for a Lead SQL DBA to join our team here in Liverpool, the role will be to join a small team and be a technical lead, working with stakeholders, and being SME for all things SQL related. based in the Liver Buildings we offer 3 days from home 2 in the office plus excellent benefits.

Description
As a Lead SQL DBA, you are responsible for the DBA Agenda where we look at the roadmap, upgrades, new functionality, standardisation etc, etc of the entire SQL estate.
Responsibilities:
- Administering SQL in virtual environment (on premise and Azure in the future)
- Provide platform support to internal and external developers.
- Provide first and second line help desk support for SQL Server issues.
- Maintain database documentation as required.
- Configure and maintain database servers and processes
- Monitor system's health and performance
Profile
The successful Lead SQL DBA will be able to demonstrate skills in:
- SQL Server DBA
- Microsoft Server Server (version 2012 onwards)
- Backup and recovery strategy and implementation.
- Performance Tuning using in house or 3rd party tools
- SQL Server maintenance, job scheduling and alerting.
- SQL AlwaysOn with Availability Groups
- T-SQL scripting experience (optimisations, queries)
- Powershell scripting
- Exposure to SSIS and SSRS
