Arca Resourcing have been asked to secure an interim Head of IT (Programmes & Delivery) for a NHS organisation in the Northern Home Counties.
Reporting to the IT Director, this senior IT Manager will be responsible for a team managing key programmes of work, as well as the successful delivery of a substantial BAU portfolio.
Responsibilities:
* To play a pivotal role in the Trust's digital strategy, ensuring the Service Delivery & Programme Management teams support the Trust applications effectively and meet user requirements.
* Lead a team responsible for a large scale and complex IT Capital Programme of work that impacts across the organisation.
* Establish, direct, and manage a complex multi-project portfolio for the deployment of new clinical, administrative and technical systems to improve patient care, ensuring that systems are developed in line with business requirements and that any relevant national guidelines and regulations are adhered to.
* Delivery across all the workstreams under their control; testing, service delivery, change & release, issue resolution and PMO. Ensuring delivery to timescales, within budget and in line with Corporate digital strategy.
* Development and Implementation of the ITIL processes across the ICT Department and with all users of the ICT Service and enable the ICT Department to meet their key strategic objectives
* Develop a Continual Service Improvement Programme (CSIP) to ensure the development and review of IT Service processes across the Trust
* Day-to-day line management of the Service Delivery & PMO teams and will provide strategy and guidance in line with Trust policy and industry recognised methods such as ITIL, Prince2 and MSP.
We are looking to speak to experienced NHS IT managers with a background in either service management/delivery or PMO/ programme management.
* Previous experience of managing an IM&T team within a hospital setting
* Extensive programme management experience or running a successful PMO, including formation, governance, and project budgeting setting.
* Act as subject matter expert for ITIL procedures and have specialist knowledge of ITIL principles
Due to the nature of the work, there will be the requirement to be on-site. NB This is not a remote role
