My client, a leading global insurance entity, is looking for a Productivity & Enablement Director to own the technology, design, development, and support of systems which support cross business capabilities.

This is an exciting leadership role for someone with drive and enthusiasm with a passion for Technology supporting all our technology and business stakeholders. The successful candidate will be a key member of Platforms in Technology function leading both strategic and tactical work all aligning to the overall business vision and priorities.

The Productivity & Enablement Director will be someone who can help define target state applications roadmaps with our Architecture & Delivery teams, ensuring the right technology is implemented at the right time. It also essential the candidate defines, implements the correct technology services.

The successful candidate will ensure that business applications can seamlessly run and communicate with each other, manual intervention is minimized through automation and data integrity assured through appropriate controls. Also be involved on the migration to Cloud Technology, Automation or AI and the adoption within user base and technology.

This role is a fantastic opportunity to help shape and drive applications and technology initiatives from business idea or needs, through to implementing and running a stable service.

Duties

  • Translates multiple business needs into system designs, leading 3rd party partners to deliver the solutions.
  • Management of technology roadmaps and key platforms. The candidate will work with the business to prioritize any technology requests, assess solution options prior to submission to the Project Approval Board and provide recommendations to ensure optimum outcomes.
  • SME (Subject Matter Expert) within the technology function working collaboratively with Architecture, Programme Delivery, IT and other relevant governance groups to achieve effective resolution of any incidents (Level 2 & 3).
  • Single point of contact who engages wider Platforms functions (Design, Data, Build, Test & Release) & other Technology functions as required to meet business needs.
  • Collaborating with other technology functions (Architecture, Programme Portfolio Management & IT Services) to provide an end-to-end service to business colleagues.
  • Working with Business Leaders & Technology to support the right data decisions, ensuring that controls and assurances are built into technology design.
  • Member of the Change, Project, Transformation and Transition leadership teams to ensure the right technology outcomes, in line with business needs and alignment to technology roadmaps.
  • Drive continuous improvement across our platforms which span across our business including involvement in process consistency and platform best practice.

Skills/Experience

Essential

  • Experience of full Application Lifecycle
  • Defining and working with users on migration to Cloud and adoption of on-premise software.

Regulatory and/or Statutory Compliance.

  • Experienced in defining technology and application roadmaps and change plans using key methodologies and frameworks.
  • Leading Change and stabilising or supporting user adoption of systems.
  • Managed or delivered Global based Technology change and support services to stakeholders across multiple regions supporting client engagement.
  • Good relationship skills and working with multiple stakeholders with experience setting up new Operating Models or Services.
  • Management 3rd Parties and internal resources. Proven experience of working with third parties and managing performance and outcomes.

Desirable

  • Re-insurance industry knowledge.
  • Enterprise systems or technologies is ideal.
  • Knowledge of managing multiple Applications
  • Experience of Transactional & Operational system including integration and working with Infrastructure teams.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies & Dev Ops would be beneficial.
  • Experience of Cloud based Software as a Service (SaaS) or Platform as a Service (PaaS) especially on migration and adoption of services.
  • Knowledge of Cloud, Automation and AI use.
