Allen lane are delighted to be working with a public sector body to find a Chief Enterprise Architect to join the organisation and take the lead on the development, maintenance and governance of their target Architecture ensuring that it meets the needs of the business. This role will require an onsite presence in London 1 or 2 days per week.

The role

As the Chief Architect you will:

• Develop the Architecture strategy and roadmap that will realise the business objectives and ultimately mature their capability
• Ensure that business outcomes, the portfolio management and target Architecture are fully aligned, realistic and achievable.
• Shape the Architecture framework
• Assess the maturity levels to realise the state of the Digital Architecture and make informed decisions on the future of all systems and services
• Oversee all governance operations taking appropriate audits of any decisions
• Lead a team of three Enterprise Architects who will be responsible for shaping key deliverables
• Work with stakeholders at all levels to ensure any solutions are fit for purpose
• Support the optimisation of their data and digital solutions ensuring value for money
• Proactively identify any risks

Key skills required

As a Chief Enterprise Architect you will have:

• A background in the Delivery of Enterprise Architecture services on major digital transformation projects
• Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Proven experience in presenting at an executive level to highlight the Architectural vision and secure additional support
• Experience in assessing the whole service architecture and supporting shaping, procurement and putting forward business cases
• An ability to shape and apply strategy using standards, policies and roadmaps.
• Demonstrable experience in resolving key business issues by creating fit for purpose solutions
• Experience in implementing cloud solutions strategy
