Interim Nights Senior Operations Manager - Leading European 3PL Provider - 6 Month FTC - Opportunity of Interim to Permanent. The client requires the suitable candidate to start in role within a maximum of 2 weeks.

Michael Page Logistics have partnered with a long standing and Leading 3PL client in their search for an Interim Nights Senior Operations Manager. This role will play a critical part in this organisations expansion plans, working with their UK flagship DC for a Blue-Chip customer within a new site start up operation. The successful candidate will help the site navigate the peak period, with a view to being taken permanent, early 2023.

Description

The Interim Nights Senior Operations Manager role will require the individual to:

• Report to the Site General Manager.
• Manage a team of 80 - 100+ operatives through 2 direct reports, at a Shift Manager level across various shifts.
• Be responsible for inbound, pick and outbound operations.
• Have full control of the operating budget for headcount.
• Be responsible for the inventory management through your teams.
• Be responsible for ensuring the daily analysis, reporting and performance metrics are adhered to.
• Full site H&S control.
• Accountable for people development and performance management within the operation.
• Commutable to Castle Donington, Derbyshire.

This role would suit a candidate that has worked in a; Warehouse Shift Manager, Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Operations Manager, Operations Manager, Senior Operations Manager, Logistics Manager, Depot Manager, Site Manager or General Manager role previously.

Profile

The successful candidate for the Interim Nights Senior Operations Manager role will have the following skills and experiences:

• A Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain background - Essential.
• Be educated to an A Level or Degree Level standard - Advantageous.
• A minimum of 3+ years Logistics experience at a Shift Operations Manager, Operations Manager, Senior Operations Manager or Warehouse Manager level - Essential.
• Have worked within an 3PL / E-Commerce / Retail / FMCG environment previously - Essential.
• Have managed in excess of 70+ employees indirectly before - Essential.
• Have experience of Six Sigma / Prince2 / Continuous Improvement methodologies - Advantageous.
• A competent user of Microsoft packages including Excel, along with the ability to up skill quickly around WMS's - Essential.
• Experience on managing budgets up to £1m+ per year - Advantageous.
• Be results driven and commercially minded.
• Be commutable to Castle Donington.

Job Offer

This role offers:

• Salary - £50,000 to £60,000 - Dependant on experience.
• Plus additional company benefits.
