The Head of Financial Planning & Performance Measurement is a critical role in ensuring the financial success and resilience needed to give students the education they need to flourish in a changing world, bring high-quality creative education to more students than ever before and to change the world through our creative endeavour.

The University is moving to multiyear budgeting which requires processes to be further developed over the next few years.

As Head of Financial Planning and Performance Measurement, you will be responsible for managing the internal process for identifying and evaluating strategic investments and reporting on outcomes. Working closely with the Associate Director of Finance, you will lead on the development of models, metrics, and reporting to understand the performance of the University against the Finance Strategy and the financial aspects of other university wide strategic plans. 

This will include developing a budgeting, forecasting and reporting vision and leading on the development of related plans to ensure that the University has in place appropriate information to enable it to utilise its resources as effectively and efficiently as possible over a short, medium and long term planning horizon.

Your profile

This is an ideal opportunity to join a team with a diverse range of financial experience spanning higher education, public and commercial sectors.

You will be a qualified accountant with strong technical knowledge and demonstrable experience delivering comprehensive results to tight deadlines. Your ability to draft strategic papers for boards and governance committees is key to this role as is the ability to write and develop financial reports using Excel at an advanced standard.  Equally you will be able to motivate and lead others, set the direction for multiple functions whilst promoting collaboration across formal boundaries.
