On offer is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Director to join a household, sustainable shoe company, starting as a family business in 1774 and slowly taking over the world. Joining this long established company at their Head Office in London, this is your chance to work towards becoming the business partner where you will go on to support the strategic direction of the business.

In this role, the successful Finance Director will be expected to manage the whole of the companies UK business financials. It will be your responsibility to ensure a timely and efficient distribution of accurate financial information to every budget holder. You will measure, review and challenge the cost/benefit ratio of the proposed activities and implement best practise throughout your area of responsibility and support the progress of meeting the subsidiary's strategic goals.

The ideal Finance Director will have ample experience as a Finance Director/Manager. They must also be able to travel to Germany as and when required. The idea Finance Director must be a strong relationship builder, have the ability to work under pressure and have strong IT skills particularly in SAP and Excel.

The Role

• Looking after UK finances in the company.
• Managing the year end audit process and external auditors to secure clean early warning memorandums and clean management letters.
• Managing the subsidiary in close collaboration with HQ.
• Establishing an effective internal control system, minimising the risk of errors.

The Person

• Strong accounting and taxation knowledge.
• University degree in business Administration/Finance.
• German speaking would be a bonus.
• Excellent IT skills, especially in SAP and Excel.
• The ability to travel to Germany.
