A construction company is looking to hire a highly motivated and experienced Finance Director to join its senior leadership team and oversee the finance function of the Company.

Backed by a private equity Partners, and with over 30 years of experience behind it, the company is one of the UK's experts, providing installation and maintenance across a broad range of systems. With annual turnover of c.£30 million, the Company serves a blue-chip client base that extends across several end-markets, principally social housing, government, education, hospitality, healthcare and commercial.

The company aims to triple in size over the next 5 years and bringing on an experienced Finance Director with relevant experience, drive and gravitas is critical to our continued success and growth. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, hard-working and reliable professional looking to be part of a fast-growing private equity backed company.

The compensation and benefit package will be competitive and commensurate with a senior role of this nature.

The role will be based in Cambridgeshire where the Company's finance function is currently based, but will require some travel as need to other parts of the UK, namely Newcastle, Manchester & London.

Duties and Responsibilities

•Work closely alongside the Company's board, MD and other senior executive directors of the Company to set, drive and support as required the strategic ambitions of the Company

•Oversee finance function and overall team.

•Direct financial planning and strategy for the Company

•Institute, oversee and manage all finance and related financial control functions and processes

•Analyse and report on all aspects of the financial performance of the Company.

•Ensure compliance with accounting and reporting regulations

•Manage cash-flow, including all aspects of working capital (such as debtors, creditors, stock) and capital expenditures.

•Prepare monthly Management Information pack and report.

•Develop, monitor and manage weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual KPI dashboards/reports.

•Oversee and manage the yearly financial audit.

•Develop and implement accounting policies.

•Prepare forecasts and comprehensive annual monthly budgets (P&L, BS and CF).

•Develop and implement fully integrated financial models, including business plan for the Company.

•Supervise, recruit and train all members of finance team and accounting staff.

•Assess, manage, and minimize financial risk at all levels.

•Analyse, report, and improve financial data; identify and analyse key financial trends in the business.

•Oversee and manage all aspects of the Company's taxation requirements and compliance with taxes.

•Oversee insurance and work closely with brokers/insurance providers.

•Prepare information for the Company's investors.

•Engage/liaise regularly with the Company's lenders, including monitoring cash flows, covenants and preparing related covenant analyses and other lender-related documentation.

•Engage with the Company's board and investors as required, and prepare relevant information/analyses for them as and when required.

•Manage and oversee VAT.

Qualifications and Experience

At least 15 years of experience

Fully ACCA, ACA qualified

Prior FD experience in a £20m+ turnover company essential.

•Prior management of large teams in a fast-growth environment.

•Construction or contracting experience preferred (but not a must have).

•Experience working in a private equity environment.

•Experience in Financial Planning and Analysis

•Experience working with institutional lenders, preferably in leveraged environment with private equity style capital structures

•Strong references
