Chief Operating Officer
Worth is a leading independent, co-educational day and boarding Catholic and Benedictine school of around 640 pupils, aged between 11 and 18. The School occupies a stunning rural location enjoying spectacular views across the Sussex Downs.
The School offers education with heart and soul, preparing pupils for the challenges and opportunities of a fast changing world through an approach which combines both traditional values with innovation and vision. Alongside strong academic results (which gain pupils places at some of the best universities), the learning experience at Worth is underpinned by outstanding pastoral care and a broad, stimulating co-curricular programme. The recent £6.25m Sixth Form Centre and School Library are new additions to the school site which evidence the School’s commitment to looking forward whilst staying true to its rich heritage.
The Governors now wish to appoint a COO who will join the School at an exciting time. This broad ranging role is an important one as part of the Senior Leadership Team, with overall responsibility for Finance, Estates (including capital projects), IT, HR, Commercial & Hospitality and Assurance.
The successful candidate will be an experienced professional with strong financial skills and a track record of managing a diversity of resources and teams, as well as facilitating operational and strategic development and growth. Applications are encouraged from candidates from a broad range of sectors who have strong commercial skills. A commitment to, and empathy with, the wider educational and charitable mission of Worth will be essential.
Accommodation on site may be available for this post.
