ACS International Schools is a leading provider of high-quality international education, operating schools (day and boarding) for students between the ages of 3 to 18 from around the world at our campuses in the UK and Qatar.

We are proud of our diverse and welcoming community and the outstanding educational offering that our staff deliver. We are a global family offering a positive and energising working environment where our employees can fulfil their potential. We believe in the importance of developing in our students the curiosity to ask questions, the courage to take risks, the compassion to care for all, and the knowledge, understanding and confidence to thrive. Together, we inspire our students to become the world’s next global thinkers and doers.

We are now looking for an experienced HR leader to join our executive team. This is an outstanding opportunity to join ACS International Schools as our key champion of people leadership and change, with oversight of our HR function and organisation development. The HR Director will play a critical role shaping and delivering our people strategy to adapt ACS for a post-Covid world. Continuing to drive transformation and modernisation across the organisation, the Director of HR will bring a fresh and invigorated approach to key initiatives to build an engaged, motivated and high-performance workforce, equipped and ready for the challenges and changes that we face. It is essential that our Director of HR can operate both strategically and tactically and with an eye for operational detail.

The successful candidate will bring a demonstrable track record of having led an HR function and contributed to people and organisational strategies at board level in a complex, medium-sized organisation, or at leadership level in a division of a large organisation. You will be able to work at a strategic level whilst maintaining strong operational delivery to develop, inspire and drive our HR function: the ability to evidence positive strategic and operational impact within a range of organisations, of comparable complexity, will be advantageous.

You will have the ability to build strong relationships throughout ACS. You will be a strong communicator with a resilient personality. You will bring genuine passion for what you do and want to support our leadership team in delivering more impact within our group of schools and charitable partnerships.

ACS is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. It is fully committed to the principles of equity, diversity and inclusion in its recruitment of teaching and support staff.

Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Saxton Bampfylde Ltd is acting as an employment agency advisor to ACS International Schools on this appointment. For further information about the role, including details about how to apply, please visit www.saxbam.com/appointments using reference FBDQM. Alternatively telephone +44 (0)20 7227 0880 (during office hours). Applications should be received by 9am on Monday 18th July.
