I have a really great opportunity in the process automation industry for a digital solution architect working with a major engineering business operating in the utilities industry. This is a technical advisory role and we are looking for candidates to advise clients and put forward technical solutions to existing products.

They are a global engineering solutions provider operating across a number of sectors including, mining, utilities and fmcg.
Description
In this role as Digital Solutions Architect, you will lead technical advisory and implementation proposals digital software solutions in the energy industry. Working within a matrix structure, you will contribute to a wide range of projects tailored to the specific requirements of the target utility markets around process automation.
The Digital Solution Architect will will createa technical solution (i.e. data systems integration, cloud/on premise data solutions, software and applications), knit to gether solutions into a recognisable value proposition for customers. Digitalise and enhance our current consulting and software solutions to generate sustainable sales. Target focus areas could be Asset Performance Management, Energy Management software, Analytics and AI Suite and Cyber Security (software).
The role will establish a trusted relationship with external customers and internal technical teams. They will need to understand customer needs and translate it into technical architecture based on Digital technical components. They will work with Product teams, Business Area and global Division, Services and Sales teams to help drive Digital related sales and ensure a solid technical solution on related projects.
Profile
To be considered for the role you must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Science related degree such as IT, Computer science, engineering etc
- A background in digital process automation from a relevant industry such as, aviation, utilities, military/ defence
- Be a solution provider and strong customer and stakeholder management skills
- Experience designing security architectures for IT/OT systems.
- Understands system configuration
- High level software programming knowledge (java, python)
